The problem of deduction ; #1 Dream of Descartes

<Rene Descartes, a french philosopher.>   Waken up, but don’t know whether it’s dream or not. Because it was so realistic. In 「 Inception 」 , a famous movie in Hollywood, Dicaprio spins a top to distinguish dreams from reality. If it stops, then he’s in reality. But if it keeps spinning, then he’s in dream. We experienced similar symptoms. A dream more realistic than reality. We don’t know whether it is dream, until we’re awake. Everyone dreams like this, but someone derived philosophical arguments from it. It was Rene Descartes.     Descartes was an ambitious philosopher. He decided to find a truth without religion, tradition, and convention. What could be a definite truth in the world? First of all, let's see the empirical things. 'Crows are black.' Changing My Major Philosophy to Physics(16.01.28)

 
 
 


  Yesterday, I changed my major Philosophy to Physics. Now, I'm on the way to be a scientist instead of philosopher. But I won't give up working on philosophy. My finial destination is to be a scientist not ignored by philosophers and be a philosopher not ignoered by scientist.
 
   Studying the philosophy, I learned a lot of lessons. The most important lesson was that there is nothing to take granted for. Everyting is worth for doubt about. Even if you sure for 100%, when you think twice and doubt about it, there are a lot of meaningful thoughts from it.
 
   My areas of interest was Analytic Philosophy and Philosophy of Science. But my interesting areas were changed when I prepare for a presentation in a Philosophy of Science class. The only subject I could not understand was the Interpretation of Quantum mechanics and I really try hard to understand. After the semester, I took a physic class in the Science department and I decided to change my major.
 
   I feel awesome because of new academic challenges. I would study hard in the department of physics.
